I was rolling around the LOTRO forums today and found these links just chocked full of expansion goodness. It is full of information about Enedwaith and some of the new stuff set to come out in the expansion, and, sadly for Prenthelion, more information about horses. Back to the editing table once again on the outstanding, and apparently ever evolving, guide to horses.

Re: In Case You Missed It....
Thanks, Brinwald.
If new faction mounts are introduced, sounds like a new faction is there! I'm stoked. There's always room at Prenthelion's stable for another mount (sure hope it's not a goat...)
While F2P is going to sell many of the things we've had to work hard to achieve, if it brings more rapid content updates, I'll think about forgiving Turbine.

The mounts listed in that picture are already in game... I'm bummed big time
Esp since I worked really hard to get my horses and now people can get them for basically no work through the store.

I agree. The store is getting rid of all the challenge to actually obtain cool stuff in LOTRO. If you have real money, you can just buy your way to greatness... lame.

Yeah, not sure what the final Store item list will be but new players starting now will certainly have the option to "buy" their way through much of the effort (grind?) we old-timers had to go through.
Overall though, I'm with Pren. If the store and F2P means faster content releases (which has already been hinted at by the devs) then I'm all for it. And honestly, I like the idea of options and the store provides more options for more people. It's already been stated that no gear with stats will ever be sold in the Store so as long as they don't sell things (buffs, mob debuffs, etc.) that become required to be uber and required to run end game content, I'll be happy.

Will you still be able to pay by monthly subscription and have everything we have now?

As I understand it, yes Aiden. Nothing will change for us monthly/lifers.

Re: In Case You Missed It....
Yeah, thats my understanding as well. Those of us who are either lifers or pay monthly subs will be considered "VIP's." And supposedly nothing will change for us until the next major paid expansion comes out sometime in 2011. Then, of course, all of us will have to pay (or use saved up TP) to acquire that expansion just like we have with every past expansion.
The devs put out a table that showed the differences between VIP's, Premium playes and F2P players which does a pretty good job explaining the differences.
Bottom line: Keep your lifer or paid monthly subscription active and you will not lose anything you currently have. You will gain some free TP when the store goes live and everything else is the same for us.
Here is the link to the table explaining the differences: http://www.lotro.com/news/latestnews/709-announcing-the-lord-of-the-rings-onlines-move-to-free-to-play-
Then click on VIP chart.
