The Riders of Rohan

About our Kinship

The Riders of Rohan is a rank 10 kinship on the Arkenstone server in the persistent online world of The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO). The Riders of Rohan, or RoR for short, hold true a fairly simple overarching gaming philosophy which is to create and enjoy a fun, relaxed, mature and respectful gaming experience. RoR prides itself on avoiding overly restrictive rules or regulations. We are not a hardcore raiding guild although we raid together as often as our schedules permit. RoR enjoys and participates in all aspects of LOTRO but does not concentrate on any one aspect over another. Our kinship is made up of all types of good people including families who game together in the same household.

Most of our members live in North America but all mature, respectful players are welcome. The members and officers of RoR enjoy gaming together and appreciate each others’ camaraderie in the mature and relaxed gaming environment which we have worked hard to create.

Some of the benefits our members enjoy are: 

1.  A professional and highly functional kinship website.  Our webmaster is a registered LOTRO developer which allows certain content on our website to be updated directly from the LOTRO website.  Our site also has active forums, class and game guides, picture galleries and an innovative event planning and calendar system created by our webmaster. 

2.  A fully decorated and well-stocked main kinhouse as well as a secondary kinhouse used as a kinship crafting materials bank. 

3.  A crafting material bank where kin members can donate and request and receive crafting materials for free via in-game mail.

4.  A free Ventrilo chat server for in-game chat and raiding.

5.  We have many Kindred Supreme Master crafters within RoR who are happy to help craft items for kinmates who provide the materials.

6.  A variety of in-game events which are posted to our Event Planner each week.  Everything from high level raids/instances such as DN, Watcher and Swordhalls to deed runs to Ettenmoors PVP events.  And all members can plan, post and lead events or raids if they desire.    

7.  And finally, RoR is full of nice, mature and very knowledgeable players who help each other and interact socially via kinchat and the website forums.
